BA Textile Design, UAL Central Saint Martins
The intention of this project was to respond playfully to an impulsive trip to Lisbon, which formed the basis of my design research. Inspired by the bold, blocky colours and graphic, patterned facades of the immediate urban landscape, I used this as a starting point in the design development process. Combining traditional methods of screen-print with contemporary laser cut processes, I was able to achieve playful patterning dynamics between the two elements through surface manipulation and construction.
